That's not the issue, that works exactly as you describe for me.
The issue is people who are opening a XDF file that has all the work done to Categories, does not open to Categories and they usually never see it and don't realize it's there.
Having an Undo option would sure save a lot of time when making adjustments. If you happen to make a mistake? There's no way of knowing what was in that cell? So you have to close the Parameter window, answer do not save changes and start all over. Or? If we had Undo, Redo we could go back or ahead ...
There's loads of special values being made, or Patches that need to be applied for data output changes that need some explanation, this hover like in Parameters in XDF would be huge!
This goes out to Mark or Robert. I am having a very similar issue with DA2 in a 92 Vette. I have been working on an XDF and ADX for awhile that I downloaded from Gearhead. I think the ADX I am working with was originally written by Robert. Anyway this vette, when used with the autoprom, will lose con...
It takes some time but you;ll figure it out. The AutoProm is best equiptment to start out with! Yes you can look at your bin from file. File, Open Bin. And XDF, Selsect XDF. Take a look at this short tutorial to get going. http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?466-TunerPro-starte...
OMG! Yes i found it. I just needed to click Data Trace button. You got lucky! Just the button alone will not work if the parameters were not set up to Data Trace. Here's a tutorial on how to set them up. http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?356-Enable-data-Tracing-in-TunerPro-H...
If I had a car tuned by a 17 year old with a laptop? I'd flash in a stock tune! The CEL removed is a sure sign there are issues! There are some improved TP files XDF and ADX at this link: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?335-16188051-and-16181333-PCM-Information-EE-EEB Then ...
Even if there were an XDF and ADX there is no flash program for it. You would need HPTuner, EFI Live or TunerCat OBDII. Or a RoadRunner from Moates and flash in newer OS. Those files are available.
Im always going back and forth between monitor and item list frame by frame to see when a bit is set... can't beleive this is probably the only option I've never used or heard of in TP.
Can't work set up like it is now? It was written by Robert Saar, all you did was change it and add your website for sales and your email, along with wrong command for data...
The XDF for that vehicle is $D5 and can be found here: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?1651-Hi-from-SoCal&p=20576&viewfull=1#post20576 But the ADX file needed is A178.ads/ds and has never been built. ALDL.ds file can be found here to build the adx file: http://www.gearhead-...
That's a differant ADX file then the $EE for LT1 Engine this thread was about...
I've never worked on or with the $5B so I can't help.
You can add the OK, what is great about all these ADX and XDF files is there are no restrictions as what you can do with them. They are all community built!
While connected to engine data click on the icon that looks like a folder, or Acquisition, Show Data List. In item lists you will see a drop down menu, choose Engine MALF Codes and it will show them all either marked OK or Error!
Use what Rbob told you to start with and tune. If that does not work you could have a mechanical issue like vacuum leak, wiring, fuel pressure etc... can't tune them out.
As Robert mentioned needing a MCU for my idea of adding AD inputs to cable also explains why all my other devices don't have this issue common with cables.
There seems to be a growing intrest in getting data from external sources (WideBand) like the AD inputs in the AutoProm. Most have been found with non used ECM pins for EGR or one we just did for the LT1 $EE using AC pressure sensor. An ALDL cable with AD inputs would be a great device accomplishing...
When an ADX file is open have description show when hovered, like in XDF and add parameter/value comments. This way when reviewing data you can see what the value has for description.
I ntoiced a Fast O2 rich/lean threshold currently set to 0 mV ( I got the tune from a vendor specializing in the mods I have). Does this sound correct for this to be set at 0 mV? Any help is appreciated! Stock bins are not. Sounds like a way to run open loop, while in closed loop... that would be i...
