"TunerPro XDF files" . . . AHA ! Found it. I thought this file just contained ADX files. I wasn't aware that it also contained the XDF files. I was expecting it to find it under Datastream Definitions or Miscellaneous Uploads. I had no issues with openning any of the files I checked out. It's always...

Thanks for the reply. I looked and couldn't find any file even closely resembling "Advanced E6 0D 0E 31 TP5 v250.zip" on Moates files web page(s). What folder/directory is this file in ?

The XDF file(.bin definition) that you are using in TunerPro is written and provided by Dynamic EFI. They are your best source for an "Instruction Manual" for their XFL file. With the "WhatsUp" display software you should have received the following "Help" documents: EBL_P4_Calibration.html (this wi...

Additional notes. 1) Using a text editer I just looked at another ADX file I use and found the "extra character returns and missing spaces" differences between two known good working ADX files. So those differences don't appear to be the problem. There do seem to be other differences though....

I also "saved as" A220 0E 31 Trans v250.adx from the "Download Bin Definition Files" page. I got the same results as you. I tried renaming the file and got the same results. I openned the ADX file in a text editor and compared it to a different known good ADX file and found extra character returns a...

.ADX Macro send question

In editing Commands in an .ADX file, if in defining a Macro I select Manually Sendable, how do I send this Macro command once I am connected? I know in version 4 there was a dropdown list in the "ALDL Monitor/Logger" window where you could select a command to send. In version 5 there is no Acquisiti...

The final chapter I continued to mess around with various laptop settings until all versions of TunerPro RT would fail to successfully communicate (not my intent). At one time I got an error message about an incorrect version of winsta.dll and tried different versions only to get back to where I was...

I am told that the bad clusters most likely mean there has been contact with the read head which leaves debris that will cause more bad clusters and on. If the drive is failing I need to replace it anyway, whether or not it will fix the issue. Maybe I can get lucky ???? It is a AKMcables.com cable c...

You may want to narrow down your request to one or two things at a time. If it will take someone an hour to compose a response to a wide ranging request, you probably won't get many replies.

For starters look at the links & resources page of tunerpro.net .

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the delay in responding. I am buried in work, which is not such a bad thing these days. Well, your answer is not the one I wanted to hear but it does suggest that this is most likely a problem at my end (which may also be an answer I don't want to hear). An update: I ...

This morning I tried reinstalling the latest V5 into a new directory/folder. I imported the 1227747_42.ads to a new .adx file and still I just get the status message “DA: Connecting ...” but it never does. This is probably the fourth time I have tried this, but the first time in a new directory. I o...

Unfortunately you may not be able to duplicate it on your testbench. I suspect it is a problem at my end, not one with V5. V5 was working fine on my testbench but after working on some 1227727 applications(new harness for my bench), I went back to a 1227747 to run some tests and this issue showed up...

160 baud communication prob’s w/ V5

Issue : when attempting to connect to a 160 baud ECM with TunerPro RT V5, I get the status message “DA: Connecting ...” but it never does. I read the similar TunerPro Discussion Forum “Just tried V5 can’t get $42 to connect” post but it really never gets to a solution. My issue differs somewhat in t...

Well I can't really blame this one on Windows OS (other than the fact that they hide HDD problems until they get catistrophic). Windows didn't cause my HDD to fail, though they could have made it easier to locate the problem. 90% of my programs ran great. Of course is that a good target to shot for?...

Trouble getting TunerPro RT to open/run

I am having problems getting the TunerPro RT software to run. I hope this post is not excessively lengthy, but I wanted to include as much detail as possible to narrow the possible causes. For quite some time I had been successfully using TunerPro RT v.4.0, AutoProm v2.5A(USB), and USB driver FTDI 1...
