.ori files are typically .bin files and not .hex files. I don't use hex files but, from memory, if your vag msa15 file is a true .hex file then you will need to open in it up in a hex editor to find out the offset and size.

OK, it seems that AFCR is not the target A/R ratio as even when adjustments are made for INT the values come no where close to stoichiometric. Time for more rummaging through the code. Looks like we're on the same page when it comes to displaying BLM; 0-2 just gives a decimal fraction so it's simila...

On a slightly different note, why does no one convert BLM to a percentage and use it that way? (I'm a GM tuning newbie)

Sounds like it's not in closed loop then. Maybe the CL flag is actually a flag to indicate conditions have been met to allow CL fuelling.

I think AFCR is the target A/F ratio, the thing is that the values are in the low 13's which contradicts the idea that it's in closed loop mode.

GM AFCR parameter question

Should this ALDL value represent the A/F ratio the ecu is trying to achieve at all times (e.g. in both open and closed loop fuelling)? I ask because in my $74 ecu I have a flag that indicates closed loop operation and the HEGO voltages are oscillating about the switch point yet the AFCR value indica...

TunerPro does allow programming and reading of chips via the 'Moates PROM I/O' menu under the 'Tools' drop down menu.

I know nothing about DSM settings but here's a guide to programming with offsets if that's your problem: http://www.moates.net/documentation.php ... tion_id=75

What do you use to connect the computer to the car? It depends on the vehicle, e.g. for GM you use an ALDL cable for datalogging, for a Ford with Moates hardware you typically use a USB cable. Is it possible to adjust settings in the car's computer with Tuner Pro? Yes, with the right hardware. This...

The Ostrich2 can be used to emulate Ford eec-iv and eec-v roms when used with the FordEMU adapter. A major limitation is lack of datalogging though so it is maybe worth looking at the Quarterhorse emulator/datalogger.
