Can't open the 5B6.ads from the downloads? (Total newbie!)

Post by Frenchrafe » Sat Jan 12, 2019 10:45 pm

Hi everyone,
I've just started with TunerPro and I can't get the 5B6.ads file to load into TunerPro?
Downloaded the file from the downloads page.
Changed the .html extension to .ads
Did "Aquisition"/"Load definition file"/....

TunerPro just says: "Failed to load.... Unreconised encoding (parser does not support UTF-8 encoding)"

Any help please?

Thanks, Rafe

PS: I'm running a 3800 series 2 on a '95 PCM - 3800 turbo setup in a Fiero. Tune by GM tuners (DarthFiero Ryan GICK)

I am not sure why you are having to rename the file, it should be saved to your pc as '5B6.ads'. Are you saving the webpage rather than downloading the .ads?

After dowloading ads, you must not load definition file but "Acquisition/import Definition/ from ads-file!"
After saving to adx you may load from adx next time.

After experimenting a bit with the program, that is what I did.
Thanks for the advice.
I'll let you know how I got on this weekend. Can't run the car on week days - car's too noisey and I'm too tired from work.
Best regards,
Rafe
